THREE NEW MEMBERS JOIN WCCCS’s BOARD OF DIRECTORS
At the Annual Meeting of the Board of Directors of the Worcester Comprehensive Child Care Services, Inc. three new members were voted on to the Board.
Robert A. Monk, Jr. is the branch manager of the Citizens Bank at 541A Lincoln Street at Worcester’s Lincoln Plaza. Jan Parent is owner and broker of the Prudential Parent Associates at 578 Boston Turnpike in Shrewsbury. Ms. Parent has been in the real estate business in the Worcester area for the past 23 years. Flavia Velez of Northbridge Street in Worcester is a retired administrator of Child Care. She worked for 30 years in all areas of providing childcare and in organizational and administrative positions in Human Resources.
Board President, Gerald Nugent, welcomed the three new members to the Board at a dinner held at the Manor Restaurant recently. He told them he looked forward to working with them as we strive to continue the excellent service to children and families that WCCCS has been providing since 1972.

John Gardiner, the agency Executive Director stated that he “was happy to have the help and professional expertise that each new member would bring to the Board’s deliberations in these fiscally difficult times”.
