Worcester Comprehensive Reorganizes Executive Staff 

 

John Gardiner, Executive Director of Worcester Comprehensive Child Care Services announced that the Board of Directors has authorized the reorganization of the Executive Staff to include two Deputy Executive positions.

 

Jaime (Jay) Soto Jr. will assume the duties of Deputy Executive Director of Programs and Administration.  Jay has worked as Director of Social Services for WCCCS since 1999.  He is a graduate of Boston University School of Social Work Case Management Program and holds a Bachelors Degree Level Social Work Licensure (LSW) from the Massachusetts Board of Social Workers.  Jay has been instrumental in the expansion and restructuring of the agency’s Home Based Child Care Services system as well as the Transportation Division.  “I look forward to working with Jay to build on the strengths of our programs and to expand them as need dictates” stated Mr. Gardiner.

 

 

Patty Robitaille will assume the duties of Deputy Executive Director for Finance and Human Resources.  Patty has been the Financial Manager since 1996 and assumed the duties of the Human Resource Department in 2004.  She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Lesley College in Cambridge and is currently enrolled in the Certificate Program in Community Human Service Management at Clark University.

 

Sheila Diggins was promoted to Director of Community Resources and Children’s Services.  Ms. Diggins, the former Director of the Great Brook Valley Center, will assist the Executive Director in the agency’s efforts to increase funding and visibility of the WCCCS programs.  Ms. Diggins received her Bachelor’s degree in Early Child Care Education from Anna Maria College in 2008.  Sheila’s professional background in Early Care and Education has included being a Family Child Care provider, a classroom teacher and lead teacher and as a childcare Director. “Sheila is well known and respected in the Worcester childcare community and I look forward to working with her to improve the quality of our programs here at WCCCS” John Gardiner said.
