DEEC's New Commissioner, Sherri Killins, Visits WCCCS

On Tuesday, February 17, 2009, Doctor Sherri Killins, the new Commissioner for the Department of Early Education and Care, toured our Great Brook Valley Center, School Age Program and one of our Home Based Providers.  She was accompanied by Matthew Veno, Communications Director and David McGrath, Deputy Commissioner for Field Operations from the Boston office and Ann Cosgrove, Program Supervisor, Kelli Piligian, Family Child Care Supervisor and Donna Cohen Avery, Associate Commissioner for Field Operations from the Worcester office.  The Commissioner had time to discuss the job with numerous teaching staff and visited and interacted with the children and seemed to be thoroughly enjoying herself.  She was a big hit with the kids.
